About Our Libray

Situated in the remote village of Nahata in the District of North 24 Parganas, the library at Nahata Jogendranath Mondal Smriti Mahavidyalaya is well-equipped. Its main goal is to meet the educational needs of the institution's disadvantaged and marginalized students enrolled at the institution. The library is proud to have a substantial collection of more than 17,000 books that span a variety of subjects, including Geography, Education, Commerce, History, Bengali, Music, Physical Education, Philosophy, Political Science, Economics, Sanskrit, English, Sociology, Defence Studies, and Environmental Science, among others.
In addition to the resources described above, the library has also procured a subscription to N-LIST (National Library and Information Services Infrastructure of Scholarly Content) e-resources almost every year, catering to the needs of both teachers and students. This subscription enables our college to avail of over 6000 e-journals and a staggering 199,500+ e-books through N-LIST.
The library is now partially automated with koha Integrated Library Management Software.
