Welcome to the NSS unit of Nahata Jogendranath Mondal Smriti Mahavidyalaya. The unit is under the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Ministry of H.R.D and Government of India. Motivated and guided by the principle that our welfare lies in the welfare of others, NSS unit takes various social, environmental, cultural and philanthropic activities. Every year NSS unit of Nahata JNMS Mahavidyalaya performs various regular activities like tree plantation, blood donation camp, Thalassemia awareness and detection camp, HIV awareness programmes and different health awareness camp. Besides, NSS unit of Nahata JNMS Mahavidyalaya has taken different community outreach programmes in the adopted village in collaboration with Chowberia Gram panchayat and different NGOs. The unit has taken the outreach programmes of special camps, HIV awareness programmes, health awareness programmes, tree plantation programmes and adult literacy drives in the adopted village Chowberia. To enhance the holistic development of both the students and community, NSS unit has organized different yoga and meditation camps both within college and in the adopted village. The NSS unit encourages the students of all departments to join in the noble task of service and the main motto of National Service Scheme is “NOT ME, BUT YOU’’.
