ABOUT THE DEPARTMERNT OF MUSIC
The Music Department is one of the departments of Nahata Jogendranath Mondal Srmiti Mahavidyalaya. It started its journey as a academic discipline in the year 2013.This department offers only B.A program.This Department has been making a great effort to make the Music subject as one of the most fascinating discipline in this institution.Presently, this department has three departmental faculties-(1) Provash Mondal-HOD (SACT) 2) Payal Bisewas-(SACT )(3) Premananda Paul(Accompanist-SACT).
Vision
The Department of Music of this institution seeks to create such youths who will learn the music from the core of their hearts and they will carry on the rhythmic flow of music from the generation to generation.
Mission
(1) To provide the essence of music like Taal,Laya,Chhanda etc. to the students.
(2) To create a quality student of music
(3) To provide a continuity of culture of folk song ,Raga Rabindra sangeert,Nazrul Geeti, Dhrupadh ,Dhamaar, Kirtan etc. from generation to generation.
