Defence Studies, being one of the elective subjects at U.G. level was first introduced in the year 2002. The subject mostly deals with the various issues concerning with Internal security, National Security, Strategic defence and various other pertaining issues having import and to maintain the peace sovereignty and integrity of our Country. Being a multi-disciplinary subjects students after studying this programme will avail scope of employment not only in military or defence related manufacturing sector , it will widen up to go for various research works in the field of strategic defence, International relations and bilateral understanding between the Nations. As per the UGC’S list it is one of modern and emerging objects of study not only at present, but also in future as well.
