The English Department of Nahata Jogendranath Mondal Smriti Mahavidyalaya was established in 2002 .Then the University was affiliated to Calcutta University. But now our college is affiliated to West Bengal State University and we follow the CBCS and NEP curriculum of WBSU.The Department has three teachers and one of the features of this Department is the perfect Teacher- Student bonhomie .We believe in holistic development and the teachers take great care to achieve this.
The Vision of the Department is to Equip the students with the Knowledge of English Language and Literature, thus empowering them to Adapt and Compete with the Mainstream of the Globalized World Engagement
