The Department of History of Nahata Jogendranath Mondal Smriti Mahavidyalaya has been in existence since the very inception of this institution in 1985.1t has been sincerely catering to the needs of its pupils. The Department blessed with the services of 5 faculty, Dr.Chumki Ghosh , Mr. Biplab Das ,Mr.Bidhan Sarkar,Mr.Subrata Das and Mr.Roni Hazra.The faculty always strive hard to attend to the academic requirements of the pupils. Though most of the pupils are from marginalized class, yet the trends of success of Department are high and satisfactory.
The B.A program in History enables Pupils to explore the past with open mindedness, thoroughness, and rigor; interrogate explanations and interpretations of the past; pursue original research in order to develop a deeper understanding of past events, people and societies; and develop critical thinking, writing and reading skills vital to future studies and careers.
