Programme Outcomes of Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)

PO1: Disciplinary Knowledge

 

Comprehensive knowledge and coherent understanding of the chosen disciplinary of study in a broad context, their different learning areas, and their linkages with related fields of study, and current and emerging developments associated with the chosen disciplinary areas of learning. 

PO2: Analytical Mind 

 

Analytical mindset for different kinds of problems in familiar and non-familiar contexts and apply the learning to real-life situations.

  • Programmes infuse a strong sense of analytical approach which helps the students to delve deeper into the subject,
  • Help to understand the challenges and to proceed for further studies. 

PO3: Critical Thinking

 

  • Apply analytic thought to a body of knowledge, including the analysis and evaluation of policies, and practices, as well as evidence, arguments, claims, beliefs, and the reliability and relevance of evidence.
  • Create an opportunity for developing a critical perception of the society

PO4: Interdisciplinary Knowledge 

 

Comprehensive knowledge and coherent understanding of the chosen interdisciplinary areas of study in a broad multidisciplinary context, their different learning areas, their linkages with related fields of study, and current and emerging developments associated with the chosen interdisciplinary areas of learning. 

PO5: Communication Skill

 

  • Listen carefully, read texts and research papers analytically and present complex information in a clear and concise manner to different groups/audiences, 

• express thoughts and ideas effectively in writing and orally and communicate with others using appropriate media 

• confidently share views and express herself/himself

 

PO6: Environmental Awareness 

 

The graduates should be able to demonstrate the acquisition of and ability to apply the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values required to take appropriate actions for: 

• mitigating the effects of environmental degradation, climate change, and pollution, 

• Effective waste management, conservation of biological diversity, management of biological resources and biodiversity, forest and wildlife conservation, and sustainable development and living. 

PO7: Gender Sensitivity

 

A strong sense of gender sensitivity is inculcated with much care in the teaching process of various disciplines

PO8: Moral and Ethical Awareness

 

Inculcates moral and ethical values among its students so that they become socially responsible citizens of the country and take the journey of life with challenge and dignity

PO9: Lifelong Learning 

 

Acquire new knowledge and skills, including ‘learning how to learn skills, that are necessary for pursuing learning activities throughout life, through self-paced and self-directed learning aimed at personal development, meeting economic, social, and cultural objectives, and adapting to changing trades and demands of the workplace., including adapting to the changes in work processes in the context of the fourth industrial revolution, through knowledge/ skill development/reskilling.

PO1: Disciplinary Knowledge

 

Comprehensive theoretical, Practical, professional, and procedural knowledge and coherent understanding of the chosen disciplinary of study in a broad context, their different learning areas, their linkages with related fields of study, and current and emerging developments associated with the chosen disciplinary areas of learning. 

PO2: Critical thinking and Analytical skills

 

 

Analytical mindset for different kinds of problems in familiar and non-familiar contexts and apply the learning to real-life situations.

  • Apply empirical knowledge and skills to identify and collect quantitative and qualitative data to analyze and formulate evidence-based suggestions and solutions.
  • Critically integrate knowledge and enable the analysis of complex phenomena, issues and situations related to research and development.

PO3: Creativity

 

  • Create, perform, or think in different and diverse ways about the same objects or scenarios, 
    • Deal with problems and situations that do not have simple solutions, 
    • Innovate and perform tasks in a better manner, 

 

PO4: Multidisciplinary Knowledge
